Zhen's Veggie Warrior Dumplings

It’s time to bring the Kung Fu Panda world to life in your own kitchen as you recreate Po and Zhen’s favourite food, Veggie Warrior Dumplings! (don’t worry, there’s no secret ingredient!)

Ingredients

• 1 cup finely chopped mixed vegetables (such as carrots, cabbage, bell peppers, and mushrooms)
• 1 clove garlic, minced
• 1 teaspoon grated ginger
• 2 tablespoons soy sauce
• 1 tablespoon sesame oil
• 1 package of dumpling wrappers
• Soy sauce or sweet chili sauce for dipping

In a pan, heat some oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and ginger, and sauté for a minute until fragrant.

Add the mixed vegetables to the pan and stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes until they are cooked but still slightly crunchy.

Remove the pan from heat and let the vegetable mixture cool down.

Take a dumpling wrapper and place a spoonful of the vegetable mixture in the centre.

Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water and fold it in half, pressing the edges together to seal the dumpling with Kmart’s Dumpling Presses

Repeat with the remaining wrappers and vegetable mixture.

In a large pot of boiling water, cook the dumplings for about 5-7 minutes until they float to the surface and the wrappers are cooked.

Serve the vegetable dumplings with soy sauce or sweet chili sauce for dipping.

Create dumplings shaped like Po by using black sesame seeds for his eyes and nose on the dumpling wrapper or get playful and use different coloured vegetables to represent Zhen or the Furious Five characters - such as green for Master Crane, orange for Master Tigress, and more!
