Caitlin is the force behind Caitlin Marwaha Styling, where she encourages others to unlock their personal style and wardrobe confidence. How empowering is that?

With a strong background in retail, Caitlin understands the customer experience processes, trends, marketing tactics and seasonality of the fashion world, meaning we simply had to have her on board for Eastland’s ‘Our Style, Our Way’ fashion campaign.

Read on to discover Caitlin’s take on our community, our style and everything she loves about our local fashion scene.

Describe your personal style.

“I am always striving to create an ‘enduring personal style’ meaning I want to look fresh, modern and chic but not overly trendy or loud. My wardrobe is becoming less seasonal, and trend-focused to a more considered and long-lasting collection. I love trousers and denim, classic comfortable shirts and will always elevate an outfit with two pieces of polish, think belt, necklace, handbag, jewellery etc.”

Tell us what you love most about shopping for fashion at Eastland?

“All of the amazing options. I love to try pieces on, shop around and leave feeling great about my purchases as I know I’ve left no stone unturned.”

What do you love about living in Ringwood?

“I am so lucky to live between the best of both worlds. I’ve got the beach and peninsula on one side and then a thriving metro community on the other.”

What are your go-to shops and restaurants in Eastland?

“For great quality fashion pieces, I love Martin York. There are so many amazing brands under one roof at Eastland and I always check out Seed Heritage, Country Road, Witchery and of course Cotton On Kids for my children. The dining terrace is so beautiful with so many great options, I love to go to Gradi, although my husband and kids can’t go past Hunky Dory.”

What are your top style tips for fashion in 2022?

“Play with colour! For the first time in a long time, we are seeing bold and punchy colours everywhere. The biggest trends are green, hot pink, orange and blue. If you’re new to the world of colour, start small with an accessory or shoe to add a pop of colour, but if you’re ready to embrace the trend, head to toe is where it’s at!”

How would you describe the local look in Ringwood?

“Trendy yet casual. As we all emerge out of the pandemic and #lockdownlife, the loungewear and athleisure looks are still going strong but there is always an element of current trends to the outfits too. Currently, we can see this with cropped tops, oversized blazers, straight leg jeans, chunky retro sneakers and cute matching sets.”
