Eastland's partnership with Ringwood Bowls Club supports the community club to ensure they provide one of the finest venues in Melbourne from our community. The community club boasts over 10,000 players per year and has an active social program throughout the year.
The original Club was built on land (where Eastland Shopping Centre now stands) donated to the Council for the purpose of Lawn Bowls by the Bamford Family, since then it has gone through a number of transitions and has resided in its current location on Warrandyte Road, Ringwgood since January 1997.
Ringwood Bowls Club provides year-round challenging competitive bowling and laid back social bowling. The club has 2 turf greens and 1 non-living Promaster green. All three greens are of eight rink square international size. Two of the greens are floodlit to enable year-round bowling.
The extensive clubhouse, alfresco cafe and BBQ’s are located amid well maintained gardens and ample parking. These facilities cater admirably for a variety of social functions, special event dinners and other activities. The venue is available for hire.
Barefoot bowls is a fun night and runs throughout daylight savings. Visitors not only enjoy the game, but can also obtain refreshments from the bar and food from the BBQ.
