Glen Park Community Centre is a friendly, supportive and welcoming environment for everyone in the community. Their mission is to create a strong, connected community - free from poverty, isolation and injustice, where every person has access to food, housing, social and economic participation, lifelong learning and support.

They offer a wide range of services to the community with programs offering a free monthly dinner to those who may be experiencing homelessness, social isolation or food insecurity and a weekly Community Pantry, which provides relief to people experiencing extreme hardship, giving the vulnerable community members access to food and material aid when they need it most.

Glen Park also runs Hungry 4 Success® a 10-week pre-employment program designed to educate and support people aged 16- 25 by refining their communication skills, building self-belief, and providing them with the resources, support, and confidence they need to achieve their goals.

Glen Park has teamed up with Glad Group to provide the opportunity to gain on the job experience and training in cleaning, guest services, security and maintenance at Eastland or hospitality at Café on The Park.

SCHOOL UNIFORM DONATIONS

Eastland has set up an emergency relief donation point with Glen Park Community Centrewhere you can donate preloved uniforms or new school supplies to help underprivileged children in our community get a good start at school in 2022.

This year we are particularly looking for pens, pencils, new shoes (unfortunately we cannot accept second-hand shoes) and generic uniforms such as polo’s, shirts, pants and shorts.

School Uniform donation bins are located on Level 1, near Coles.

Thank you for your support!

CHRISTMAS EMERGENCY RELIEF DONATION POINT

Christmas can be a time when many families find it increasingly difficult to provide the little extra’s that make Christmas special.

To assist, Eastland once again partnered with Glen Park Community Centre to provide collection bins for non-perishable items and Christmas items such as chocolates, decorations and Christmas treats.

Eastland also donated $500 to Glen Park’s Christmas Community Pantry and bags of goodies to assist with Christmas gift bags for those in need.

Thank you to our local community who together with Eastland contributed to 66 bags of festive items and food relief this Christmas.
